why does ball point pen needs more time to finish its ink and on the other hand ink pen or gel pen gets over earlier

It also dispenses a very, very small amount of lubricating dark ink on each use, so the available ink will last longer. Gel pens depend on a larger amount of ink to achieve a dense glossy image attractively.
