why does bleeding stops when FeCl3 solution is applied?

FeCl3 is a deliquescent substance, thus absorbing any traces of loosely bound water present in a compound.

Explanation:

We know, blood is 90% plasma and 10% blood cells.

And plasma is made up of 97% water.

Hence Fecl3, absorbs the water present in the plasma, thus stopping bleeding.
