Hey there!!!
In BF3 , the B atom has only 6 electrons in the valence shell .
So, it needs 2 more electrons to complete its octet.
Hence ,it easily accepts a pair of electrons from nucleophiles like F- ,(C2 H5)2O etc. and thus behaves as a lewis acid.
