Why does burning of nylons smells like plastic?

nylon is an artificial fibre..
it is a byproduct of the one from which we obtain plastics..
thus we can observe similar characteristics in them
.
like smell when burnt..

- Nylon is a synthetic fibre obtained by chemical process.
- It's polyamide formed of adipoyl chloride and hexamethylene diamine.
- Plastic is also a synthetic polymer made from various monomers (most commonly polyethylene and polypropylene).
- Being synthetic both plastic and nylon smell similar on burning with black smoke and hazardous fumes.
