The hoofs (feet) of a camel have very large surface area. Being a massive animal it exerts small pressure on the surface of sand on account of its larger hoof area and consequently it does not sink in sand. While feet of a man has very small surface area, so he exerts larger pressure on sand and is likely to sink in sand.

The surface area of the legs of camel are more as compression to the legs of men, due to the more surface area , the pressure is decrease, and hence it can move easily on sand
