why does charcoal not produce flame?​

Answer:

Charcoal too burns in air producing carbon dioxide, heat and light. But it does not produce any flame. The substances which vaporize during burning give flames. Charcoal does not produce flame when burnt because it does not vapourize, only those substances which vapourize on burning produce flame, like wax, combustion of kerosene oil, etc.
