Why does distilled water not conduct electricity whereas rain water does ?

distilled water means water vapour it does not contains any minerals and nutrients but rain water contains minerals and nutrients so distilled water is not a conductor of electricity

Distilled water cannot conduct electricity because it does not contain free ions which are responsible for conducting electricity. Rainwater contains free ions due to the presence of dissolved salts in it. So, it conducts electricity.
