why does dogs put it's tongue out while running?

Its simple, dogs don't have sweat glands so there s no way they can sweat through their skin and cool themselves,instead they use their tongue and their saliva to cool down. Evaporation causes cooling effect....as saliva evaporates its brings down the temperature of the body
