Evaporation is a surface phenomenon where the surface !molecules of a liquid absorb the heat from the !molecules below them and attain the energy required for them to change into vapour state. As the surface molecules absorb the heat from the molecules below, they reduce the temperature of Tue liquid thus cooling it
