Hey mate!!!!
We know that evaporation occurs due to heat. Evaporation uses up heat. While evaporating a liquid, the heat present in the liquid and in the atmosphere is used up in evaporation. Since the heat is used up, the surroundings and the liquid itself becomes cool.
Hope you understand

Hey mate
Here is your answer
Evaporation: Molecules in a liquid have varying speeds. ... As the faster-moving molecules escape, the remaining molecules have lower average kinetic energy, and the temperature of the liquid decreases. This phenomenon is also called evaporative cooling.
☺ Hope it help you.
