Why does Friar Laurence flee and leave Juliet in the Capulet tomb?
He knows she’s going to kill herself and doesn’t want to see it.
He believes his role in faking Juliet’s death has been discovered.
He wants her to go with him to a nunnery and is angry when she refuses.
He fears he’s going to get in trouble, and Juliet refuses to go with him.

He is very afraid of the consequences once the Prince or Friar Laurence'sparishioners learn about his deception. He tries to get Juliet to leave the tombwith him so that he can hide her safely in a nunnery, but when she will notleave with him, he runs when he hears the authorities approaching
