why does fungus not grow on plastics

Because it needs moisture and nutrition for its growth, hence on plastic it is not possible to get nutrition and as well the moisture,

Answer : - Fungus grows on that substance that can provide food or retain moisture, such as wall in which water retains caused growth of fungus. Plastic neithier give food nor reatians water so its not hospitable for growth of fungus on it.
