Why does Ice melts slowly at higher altitudes?

Because in higher altitudes the temperature of atmosphere is very low so ice melt slowly
Also in higher altitudes atmospheric pressure is also very low so it requires more time to melt ice

As we go higher and higher in altitudes, the temperature gets lower and lower. As the temperature gets lower, ice melts more and more slowly. Leaving aside the temperature variable, ice melts more rapidly under higher air pressures. As we go higher and higher in altitude, the air pressure decreases,i.e.,the higher the altitude, the lower the air pressure and the more slowly ice is going to melt.
