Indo gangetic Plains have high density of population because they are comparatively very fertile to other plans and hence they have population as the population needs agriculture and agricultural activities are quite easy and well developed there

This area in south Asia is extrmely fertile and excellent for farming.
This makes the Indo - Gangetic plain a heaven for Indian farmers to grow rice and wheat.
The plains supports high density of population as it is very easy to build on
