why does ISI hallmark or shark assure

ISI mark is a certificate issued by Bureau of Indian standards and the product that has ISI mark on it is considered as the safe product for consumers and it maintains the minimum standard fixed by the government.

It is mandatory for few products like element and electrical appliances, food, fertilizers, stainless steels etc. while it is also voluntary for few products.
