a ship dips to a larger death in a freshwater as compared to marine water

It depends on density Yaar..
In marine salt water makes it more denser thus making it float up than fresh one. Do a simple experiment and understand this.
Take two eggs n two glasses of water. in one glass fill water with salt. Egg in salt water float n other one sinks
