Why does it taste sweet if you drink water after eating amla or the Indian gooseberry?

Amal or Indian Gooseberry is bitter in taste compared to water so when we eat amla, then drink water we feel the sudden change in taste. so we think that the water is sweet. But actually is just the sudden change for the taste buds which makes us feel so.
