the ladies at the book club created a very awkward situation for John. his wife suspected that he was flirting with Helen on Ouija board. next morning Lavinia left a message that she was going back to her grandmother and her lawyer would communicate with him later. John felt that he had lost his wife, his hone and happiness and wished he were dead.
