Why does Kali stand on Shiva?

So when Lord Shiva saw Kali in this anger form ,He simply Laid down under Her Feet,and when Maa Kali got realized that She touched His husband by foot because of mistakenly Her tongue came out,Her anger subsides instantly. and then We found the one of the praying form of Maa Kali.

When Maha Kali was unstoppably killing all Rakshyas ,also kills Devtas who come into her way . That time all Devtas prayed Lord Shiva and ask him to control Maha Kali . Then Lord Shiva lie down ( the way Maha Kali was going ) . Maha Kali step on Lord Shiva and she come into control.
