Why does light bend on travelling from one transparent medium to another? Pls explain.

it's just because of difference between the density of two and light tries to maintainit's speed as well as time so u can understand it as due to more density it shortens it's path and in high density it makes it's path longer thus bending all way around while travelling from one transparent medium to another....
