Why does Microsoft not do anything knowing that people from all over the world have pirated version of windows?

Well that's a good question to ask...
Microsoft cannot actually stop people from using pirated copies instead of genuine version in this large world.
Take an example when you download songs for free, you do share it with your friends, but if you see the same song on iTunes or Google play music, it will be paid...
So, no-one can stop piracy, but defiantly take strict steps... As in case of Windows there are no updates for non- genuine copies except security updates.
So we should appreciate developers for working so hard by buying genuine version...
