why does molten NaCl conduct electricity while normal NaCl doesnt?

Hi,
when NaCl is in it's liquid form, we get the ions that conducts electricity.While solid ones don't.

When it is in molten state the particles are loose compared to solid state.So there is conductivity in molten NaCl.
