Mrs Slater decides to move the bureau as she likes it and always had an eye on it that when her father would die then she would take it.
But if Mrs. Jordan would see it then she would start conflicting about that. That's why she doesn't want Mrs. Jordan to see the bureau shifting.
Henry first refused to help but then agreed and also helps him.This shows that Henry works after saying of Mrs. Slater.
