Why does Nitration of chlorobenzene gives the 2 and 4-nitroproducts,yet the reaction requires an elevated temperature to proceed

Answer:

#chlorine shows +I effect

effect of +I is more then

+M

# this doesnot means cl doesnot show +M effect show but in small amount

# in nitratiin no2+ attack which is electrophile

by resonance negative charge appears at ortho and para position

result attack at only ortho and para position

### at high temperature all bonds are small weaker then actual. high temperature doest not means very high otherwise all bonds are become weaker
