why does not all copulations lead to pregnancy???

because sperm don't contributes to egg cell in all copulations.

Copulation is the process in which the sperms are transferred from the male in the reproductive part of the female.

For the pregnancy many things are required. 1st of all the timing should be perfect during which the ovulation of the female occurs. Then the condition and motility of the sperm also matters allot. Also the egg must be healthy to attain the pregnancy.
