Why does not copper react with hydrochloric acid even on heating?

It  does not react  with HNO3 and so does  others around it in the series copper  is quite an unactive metal and does not react dilute acids under normal circumstances copper is below Hydrogen in the metal reactivity series, so it  does not displace Hydrogen under normal cases.
