Answer:

During evaporation, particles of the liquid absorb energy from the surrounding or the surface of the palm to compensate for the loss of energy, making the surroundings cool. Hence, our palm feels cold when we put some acetone or petrol or perfume on it.

As we know heat travels from hot body to cold body , in order to balance the temperature of both bodies

As you put acetone or petrol or perfume on your hand it would feel cool, but why .

these substances due to their similar components or composition remain cold , but our palm is hotter than the liquids, therefore heat travels from our palm to the liquid on their evaporation and thus this loss of heat makes the palm feel cool

similarly on cold days heat is lost from our body to atmosphere and we feel cool
