1) Winter weather: Dry skin is especially common in the winter months, when the humidity level outside drops. When the air outside is cold and dry, the water in your skin evaporates more quickly; this makes your skin feel dry and tight, and makes it look flaky.

  1. Water vapour ( i.e ., the humidity ) is a very important component in the atmosphere.
  2. The relative humidity plays a large role in determining our comfort level.
  3. If the relative humidity is \sf\red{100} % , we feel much hotter than the actual temperature indicates because our skin , sweat does not evaporate at all .
  4. If the humidity is low , our skin and mucous membranes are dry.
  5. As a result of low humidity we'll have chapped lips , dry and itchy skin , and a dry sore throat when we wake up in the morning.
  6. Low humidity also dries the plants and furniture.
