In adsorption process gaseous molecules gets attached or attracted to the surface of the adsorbent. This reduces the no. of free gaseous molecules and thus decreases the pressure. Now if we will increasr the pressure then the equilibrium will shift towards the direction where the change gets compensated i.e towards more adsorption. Also attraction of gaseous molecules releases some energy and thus the process is exothermic. Increasing the temp will make the equilibrium shift towards desorprion
