because shylock wants to kill Antonio indirectly. by taking some flesh from Antonio's body

when shylock wanted to forfeit his bond. portia says shylock to show mercy. because shylock wanted to cut a pound of flesh from antonio's body as this act was against the humanity so the portia says this.
