Heya buddy !
1) Rainfall decrease from east to west in northern india beacuse of the progressive decrease in humidity of the winds.
2)As the moisture bearing winds of the bay of bengal branch move further and further island, they exhaust most of the moisture they carry along with them.
3) The Bay of Bengal branch of south-west monsoon moves towards northeast carrying more moisture and they give heavy rainfall in this region.
4) As they move further towards west, they carry less moisture content with themselves resulting in decrease in rainfall in the west.

Hope this'll help uh (:

Hello!!

The rainfall decreases from east to west in northern India because of the following reason:

The inflow of the south-west monsoon into India is such that the windward side of the Western Ghats receives very heavy rainfall, more than 250 cm.

The rain shadow region receives scanty rainfall and the moisture laden clouds shed the maximum rainfall of this season in the north-eastern part of the country.
