why does relative density have no unit?​

because it is in ratio ie mass/volume .We know that ratio has no units

Answer: Relative density has no unit because it is the ratio of same units which gets cancelled. Answer: ... Relative density = Density of the substance/Density of water at 4°C. As both the numerator and the denominator on the RHS of the above formula has the same unit (i.e. kg/m3) they get cancelled.
