Since Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity

[Units of Acceleration] = [Units of Velocity]/[Units of time]

                                     = [ms⁻¹]/[s]

                                     = ms⁻²

seemanarang17pcd1z3: but rate of change of velocity is v-u/t
seemanarang17pcd1z3: so it's si unit is not m/s
vishal0909: what
seemanarang17pcd1z3: sorry I knew it
seemanarang17pcd1z3: thank you sir
ccbhedke: nice correct answer

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity. Velocity is rate of change of displacement.  Unit of displacement is unit of length, i.e. m. Unit of velocity is unit of (length/time), i.e. m/s Unit of acceleration is unit of (velocity/time), i.e. (m/s)/s = m/s2.
