Why does sky appear blue to an observer from the surface of the earth? What will be the colour of the sky for an astronaut in a space station? Give reason for ur answer.

because of scattering of light phenomenon.

sky appears blue because of scattering of light (on surface of Earth)
for austronaut sky appears black or there is no colour because of presence of ozone layer
