why does so2 have a dipole moment and co2 doesn't

SO₂ have a dipole moment and CO₂ doesn't because CO₂ has two polar bonds which cancels each other, which means there is no over all dipole moment; how ever in SO₂ only one polar bond is there. So SO₂ has an overall dipole moment.
