why does solution of sodium chloride conduct electricity which solid NaCl does not

Solid sodium chloride doesn't conduct electricity, because there are no electrons which are free to move

when nacl mixed with water it breaks into na+ cl- ions which conducts electricit but solid nacl has no free mobile ions therefore it does not conducts electricity .
that ensures electricity needs mobile ions to flow
