When we provide heat(energy) atoms and molecules starts gaining energy and starts resisting attractive force between them., when itermolecular space increases change of physical state takes place.

A substance is a kind of matter that can't be separated into other kinds of matter by any physical process.

A substance undergo change in physical state beacuse of the following reasons :

1. This is so done to overcome the force of attraction between its particles.

2. Physical change can actually be reversed easily, thus, substance can afford to have change in state with a clear concept that it can be reversed again.
