Why does sulphur shows paramagnetic behaviour in vapour state?

In vapour state sulphur partly exists as S2 molecule and S2 molecule like O2 has two unpaired electrons in the anti bonding , orbital and hence exhibit paramagnetism. ... It donates its electron pair and forms a linkage with metal ion.
