why does tap water conduct electricity but distilled water doesn't?

Tap water contains impurities which conducts electricity but here distilled water is pure and doesn't contains such mineral impurities so doesn't conducts electricity.

These salts dissociates into ions when electricity passed through it which are responsible for the electricity conductivity of tap water. But distilled water does not contain any dissolved salts, so it does not conduct electricity. tap water contains dissolved impurities which are capable of conducting electricity
