Why does temperature in Mumbai and Chennai not fall as low as it does in Delhi ?

Mumbai and Chennai are located in the coastal region whereas Delhi is located further inside. So a maritime climate prevails in Mumbai and Chennai and continental extreme climate prevails in Delhi. That's why the temperature in Mumbai and Chennai does not fall as low as it does in Delhi

because Mumbai and Chennai are nearer to water bodies or are coastal areas.so the land breeze and sea breeze help them to keep warmer in winter and cooler in summer so the temperature is maintained by the sea and water bodies whereas Delhi is not nearer to any coastal area or water body so the temperature is high in summer and low in winter as compared to Chennai and Mumbai
