DESERT COOLERS

Basically desert coolers are used for cooling purpose. (It's in the name itself)

Desert coolers have three sides open faced which are covered with cooling pads . Cooling pads are constantly wetted with the water inside. These also have a fan inside , which constantly helps in the regulation of air from the outside and throws inside the room by cooling it.

The particles of liquid in desert cooler absorb energy from the surrounding to regain the energy lost during evaporation. In summer this is fast. Hence desert cooler cool better in a hot dry day.
