Answer:

Area of a triangle is nothing but half of the area of a rectangle or parallelogram.

Area of Rectangle = (Width)(height)

Area of Triangle = 1/2(Width)(Height)=1/2(base)(altitude)

Hi

Here is your answer

Becuase...

base × height is the area of Parallelogram.

A Parallelogram's diagonal breaks into two equal triangles.

Area of Parallelogram = 2×area of triangles.

Therefore,

>area of triangle =1/2 × area of Parallelogram

>area of triangle = 1/2 ×bh

This is the reason for 1/2 in the formula for area of triangle ...

HOPE it helps you and plz mark me as brainliest if this helped you....
