when we put a iron nail in the solution of copper sulphate iron is a much more reactive metal than copper so it will displace copper from its salt solution very easily and will form iron sulphate and copper was left the colour of copper sulphate was blue and the new solution formed was of iron sulphate and the colour of the new solution formed i.e. iron sulphate is green
