Hey mate ☺

When we talk about dilution then this means that we are adding water to a solution..

So, here when we dilute the acid i.e. add water to acid then the concentration of their hydronium (H3O+ or H+) ions changes . Because on adding water H+ ions of acid nd hydroxyl ions of water react to form water molecules and the concentration of hydronium ions decreases.
