why does the cord of an electric heater not glow while the heating element does?
answer :-
Heat produced in a conductor due to current is directly proportional to it's resistance.
Both the cord of electric heater and it's heating element carry the same current but the cord of the heater does not glow due to it's low resistance while the heating element becomes hot and begins to glow due to it's high resistance.
