it is based on the theory the plates of tectonics cause once there was a time when earth's crust was covered with 7 major and 13 minor tectoni8plates.one the parts of the gondwana land got split up cause of conventional currents and collided with Eurasian plate..which resulted in compressing of sedimentary rocks of tythes sea and the formation of Himalayas cause below the sedimentary rocks core was made of granite
