is a white crystalline substance which is sparingly soluble in water
it liberates carbon dioxide on heating
which makes the breads and cakes fluffy and soft

we used baking soda in our food items eg. - bread ,,, there is many such traditional items where we use it .and further it is basic in nature and it could help you , when you are suffering with acidity ,but you have to take a pinch of baking soda,it can lessen your acidity problem for a while or if you take it more then it could affect your health , especially it can damage your liver .
