Why does the iron ball sink in the water but rubber ball floats in water?

because density of iron ball is greater than water but in case rubber ball it lowest than water. hope it help u

floating of an object depends on 2 factors:-
1.density of the fluid.
2.density of the object,body etc being put in the fluid.
the iron ball has greater density than water so the gravitational force applied on it is greater than the buoyant force.if the density of fluid is more than that of the body will float in the fuid else sink.
