Why does the light ray come out withougt deflection when it travels along the normal ?

according to the laws of reflection the angle of incidence must be equal to the angle of reflection and incident ray reflected ray and the normal all must lie in the same plane...in order to obey the both laws of reflection the light ray reflects back with the same angle....i.e goes back along the normal
