Hi there
The Lighting of sun directly falls on moon and ad the moon is a white body it glows and acts like luminous body due to the sun's highest lighting.
So the moon glows due to that reflection .
Hope this will help u dear☺☺

Hello there!mudit11 here ..._______________________________

□ The simple answer is that it does not shine; like our earth, it simply doesn't.
What is does, it is reflects the light it receives from the Sun. We see light and dark patches, including the Man in the Moon pattern, because of different materials present on its surface reflect light, the sunlight differently.

□ The dark areas are lowland regions of lava flows while the brighter patches are even older highland regions.

□ We all know that the moon rotates on its axis in the same amount of time it takes to make one orbit around the Earth.

□ So we always see the same side of the Moon... and yah, we Didn't know what it looked like until it was photographed by a Soviet Probe - Lunar 3. It was found that the far side does not have large lava - filled areas.

□ Day and night on our moon are not the same length as on Earth.... each lastly roughly for 15 days. During the daytime, temperature reaches as high as 123° celsius but note that it can sometimes also drop to as low as -233° celsius, during the nighttime.
